Location

Koroit – 3.5 Hours West of Melbourne, 6 Hours East of Adelaide

Driving to Koroit –

From Melbourne there are two options:

Option 1: (via Geelong)

Travel south west on the M1 Princes Freeway to Geelong, continue through Geelong on the M1 Princes Highway. Take the 1st roundabout exit at Waurn Ponds on to the A1 Princes Highway.

Travel along the A1 Princes Highway to Warrnambool (approximately 2.5 hours).
Continue travelling west on the A1 Princes Highway through Warrnambool.

10 kms out of Warrnambool, turn right on to C177 Southern Cross Road for 3.60 kms, then turn left on to C183 Penshurst-Warrnambool Road for a further 3.5 kms to the centre of Koroit township.

Travelling down the main street (Commercial Road) you will see the Daly’s IGA supermarket on the right hand side. Turn right directly after the supermarket, this is Station Street. Birch House is located 2 blocks down Station Street, on the left hand side, directly opposite the fork in the road.

Option 2: (via Ballarat)

Travel west on the M80 Western Highway to Ballarat (approximately 1hr).
As you approach Ballarat, exit left on to Ballarat Daylesford Road exit, Travel along the Ballarat Daylesford Road and continue to the main street of Ballarat. Turn left at the A300 Midland Highway. Travel 3 kms, turn right on to Sayle Street which becomes B160 Glenelg Highway.

Travel along the B160 Glenelg Highway for 50 kms to Skipton.

In Skipton turn left on to C172 Lismore Skipton Road for 31 kms then turn right on to B140 Hamilton Highway.

Travel along the B140 Hamilton to Mortlake. Continue through Mortlake following the signs to Warrnambool. Approximately 40 minutes out of Mortlake turn left on to the Hopkins Highway to Warrnambool. At Warrnambool turn right on to A1 Princes Highway and continue through Warrnambool.

10 kms out of Warrnambool, turn right on to C177 Southern Cross Road for 3.60 kms, then turn left on to C183 Penshurst-Warrnambool Road for a further 3.5 kms to the centre of Koroit township.

From Adelaide

Head east out of Adelaide to Murray Bridge on the M1 South Eastern Freeway.

After Murray Bridge travel to Horsham on the A1 which turns into the A8 Dukes Highway, then becomes the A8 Western Highway.

At Horsham bear right onto the A200 Henty Highway to Hamilton.

In Hamilton turn left on to B160 Glenelg Highway for 8 minutes.

Turn right on to B140 Hamilton Highway which then becomes C178 Penshurst–Warrnambool Road. Approximately 1 hour later you will arrive in Koroit.

Travelling down the main street of Koroit (Commercial Road), you will see the Daly’s IGA supermarket on the left hand side. Turn left directly before the supermarket, this is Station Street.  Birch House is located 2 blocks down Station Street, on the left hand side, directly opposite the fork in the road.
